EPA’s Jim Hanlon to Retire
Jim Hanlon, Director of EPA’s Office of Wastewater Management, announced that he plans to retire on June 1. Calling his nearly 40 years of experiences with the Agency “an amazing journey,” Hanlon expressed appreciation for the opportunity to work with “the most talented and dedicated group of environmental professionals”…and noted that, “Together, we have made real progress in our mission to protect public health and the environment.”
Hanlon’s departure, coupled with the recent retirement of Cynthia Dougherty as Director of EPA’s Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, leave some pretty big shoes to be filled within the Office of Water.
