WaterRF Publishes Report on Energy Efficiency for Drinking Water Utilities
The Water Research Foundation has published a report entitled, Energy Efficiency Best Practices for North American Drinking Water Utilities. This research study was conducted by Vanessa Leiby of The Cadmus Group and Michael Burke of CH2MHill. The objective of the study is to:
- provide a compendium of energy efficiency best practices and case studies across the full spectrum of water utility operations;
- present options for incremental improvements in energy efficiency through optimization of existing assets and operations, and adoption of new technologies; and
- present several approaches that might be considered by a utility to improve incremental and overall energy efficiency.
